Celebrating 45 Years 1981-2026

Logo 45th V3

In 1981, Pronghorn Controls opened its doors in Alberta with a simple goal: deliver exceptional electrical and instrumentation services and never compromise on safety. Forty-five years later, that commitment is still at the heart of everything we do.

From our roots in oil and gas to a growing presence across multiple industries and locations throughout Western Canada and the US, we’ve built something we’re genuinely proud of. Take a look at the moments that got us here on our milestones page.

A Safety Record That Speaks for Itself

7,000,000 hours worked Lost Time Injury Free. Four consecutive COS 5-Star Safety Cultures awards. Multiple wins as Canada’s Safest Employer in Oil & Gas. Safety isn’t a box we tick, it’s how we operate.

More than Oil & Gas

E&I oil and gas services remain the backbone of what we do, 24/7 call-out, construction, E&I maintenance, and maintenance across upstream, midstream, and downstream. But over the years we’ve grown and expanded our commercial and industrial capabilities significantly, bringing the same standards and safety culture to every project we take on.

Expanding Into New Industries

The energy landscape is changing, and we’re changing with it. Alongside our established services, we’re now actively working in:

Crypto & data infrastructurehigh-capacity power and instrumentation for digital facilities.

Solar & renewable energysupporting Canada’s clean energy transition with the same rigour we apply to conventional energy projects.

Fibre opticsas a Corning-approved installer, delivering certified communications infrastructure for new construction and ongoing needs.

Forty-five years in, we’re just getting started. Thank you to every client, employee, and partner who has been a part of our story and joined us on our journey. Here’s to the next chapter.
