Project Overview

Lancium Technologies is a pioneering clean energy company advancing the global energy transition through its network of “Clean Campuses.” These next-generation facilities are designed to accelerate renewable energy adoption by providing grid stabilization and reliability services traditionally delivered by fossil fuel plants.

Pronghorn has been a trusted partner to Lancium, serving as the electrical contractor for multiple Clean Campus developments across Texas — including the flagship sites in Fort Stockton and Abilene.

Each Clean Campus operates as a dynamic load centre that supports high-performance computing and bitcoin mining operations. These systems intelligently adjust energy consumption in real time to balance supply and demand, enabling greater integration of intermittent renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.

Location

Fort Stockton & Abilene, Texas, USA

Objectives

Lancium’s first major Clean Campus, located in Fort Stockton, Texas, features a 100,000-square-foot advanced computing facility engineered to deliver both computational performance and energy flexibility. This groundbreaking project demonstrates how intelligent load management can enhance grid reliability while supporting the growth of energy-intensive industries powered by clean electricity. Building on the success of Fort Stockton, Lancium selected Abilene, Texas, for its second Clean Campus development. The site was selected for its:
• Proximity to abundant wind and solar resources
• Strong existing electrical infrastructure
• Access to a skilled and experienced local workforce

Scope

  • Installation of power distribution systems and main service infrastructure
  • Integration of renewable power and smart load management systems
  • Installation of control wiring, grounding, and automation interfaces
  • Commissioning and testing in collaboration with Lancium’s engineering teams
  • Coordination with local utilities and renewable generation partners

Results & Impact

The Lancium Clean Campuses represent a transformative approach to sustainable energy use — merging advanced computing with grid-interactive technologies to reduce carbon intensity and enhance energy resilience. Through precise electrical execution, innovation, and close collaboration, Pronghorn has played a key role in delivering these first-of-their-kind facilities, helping Lancium realize its vision of scalable, renewable-powered computing across Texas.
